Mnuir is a mostly SOV agglutinative and fusional, and it is also mostly head final save for some inflections that change the entire meaning of the root.

Verbs:

  • Verbs are treated as clitics divided by a phonemically meaningless hyphen to the object.
    • Tense:
      • Present tense is unmarked unless clarity is necessary, in which the adverb "nos" is placed after it.
      • Future tense is marked with "-(o)ru"
    • Gerunds:
      • Gerunds are marked mostly with the -(o)c suffix on the word directly before it, save pronouns, which have their own forms.
    • Negation:
      • Verbs are negated with the -(o)m suffix.

Nouns:

  • Inflections:
    • Most nouns, when inflected, are unchanged, but the ones that do mostly end with a syllable that has a nasal onset and no coda, and the inflection in question follows this pattern as well. When that happens, the manner of that syllable changes based on the POA of the inflection's nasal (which stems from the historical complexity of it's motherlang, the oligosynthetic language Noyk-kchax). M's turn into stops, N's which were historically alveolar/retroflex turn into fricatives, while those which were palatal become approximants. NG's turn into approximants.
  • Plural:
    • Plural is made with the suffix -(o)n
  • Determinative form:
    • This X = X-(o)s
  • At X:
    • At X = X-(o)syc
  • With X:
    • With X = X-(o)nic
  • Way of X:
    • Way of X = mo X
  • If X, then Y
    • X, oc Y-cu

Questions:

  • Yes and no questions are marked with the particle "cor" at the end of the sentence.
