Direction Complements

去 is used when the action takes place away from the speaker, or going away from the speaker.

Using 了 for the Perfective Aspect

Using 了 after a verb emphasizes that a change in state has been made.

沒有

Normally verbs are negated using 不, however one verb isn’t and it’s 有. If you use 沒, it’s obvious you’re saying 沒有 so the 有 is often omitted.

The verb 有 is also used as in English as an experiential modal verb.

Saying a verb then it’s negative then the verb again, this indicates a polar question.
