Nouns

There are four genders: masculine (aka A-gender, because all masculine suffixes end in -a(C) in the absolutive case), feminine (E-gender for the same reason), vegetal (O-gender), inanimate (I-gender). The consonants that can occur in said suffixes are n, s, m, r.

Paucal is constructed by adding -t to the singular suffixes; collective by adding -t to the plural ones.

The other genders are conjugated pretty much like that.

Adjectives

They must agree with the noun in case, number, and gender. They are declined the same as nouns.

The comparative is formed with the prefix es-. The comparative prefix can be even attached to verbs or nouns.

Verbs

the verbs' dictionary form is in active voice, first person singular, indicative.

Voice: Grammatical voice is denoted by gradation of the root's vowel. The system is fairly regular and predictable.

  • -e- active voice
  • -a- middle voice
  • -o- reciprocal voice
  • -i- passive voice
  • -u- antipassive voice
  • -y- causative voice

Aspect

Aspect consonantal infixes are placed right after the root's vowel. If there is no infix, then the aspect is perfective.

  • -Vn- imperfective aspect
  • -Vs- gnomic aspect
  • -Vl- inceptive/inchoative aspect
  • -Vr- cessative/terminative aspect

The next five aspects operate like the previous ones, but they diphthongise the root's vowel; V > Vy while *V̄ > Vu*:

  • -VV- habitual aspect
  • -VVn- momentane aspect
  • -VVs- stative aspect
  • -VVl- prospective aspect
  • -VVr- defective aspect

Paradigms of the indicative

2nd-jen-aim-ys-i-eks-er
3rd-jan-eim-us-a-ei-eir

Paucal is formed by attaching a -t. Plural is formed by ellongating the vowel; if there are two vowels, the second one is dropped. Collective is formed by attaching -t on the plural form.
