Word Order: SVO.

Genders: Masculine/Feminine.

The articles are el (masculine) and la (feminine), their plurals are los and las respectively.

Plurals are done by applying an -s at the end of the noun, but this sometimes vary from noun to noun.

Verb conjugations occur regularly and is a prominent feature of Spanish, as all 6 persons are conjugated in a frequent manner. Verbs are divided into two types, the ones that end with -ar, and the ones that end with -er/-ir.

Present Tense:

  • -ar: -o/-as/-a/-mos/-áis/-an

Past Tense:

  • Irregular conjugations:
    • ser: seré/serás/será/seremos/seréis/serán
  • Irregular conjugations:
    • haber: he/has/ha/hemos/habéis/han
    • estar: estoy/estás/está/estamos/estáis/están

For past participles, -ar verbs change their ending to -ado, while -er/-ir verbs end with -ido.

An object pronoun can be added after the end of a verb as a clitic.

Reflexive verbs are used when actions are done upon themselves, where a "se" is added before the verb.

The adjectives and adverbs have to agree with the gender and number of the noun, causing them to change endings (adding an -s for plural. or changing ending vowels. (o for masculine, a for feminine))

Do note that there are two "to be"s in Spanish, ser and estar, they possess the same meaning in English.
